I think past self is far far stronger , like not even close cause in his past life he had his entire life to accumulate internal energy and the cultivation path he followed were diffrent compared to the now which is a completely diffrent cultivation that involves or uses poison energy which he is adjusting to and haven’t realized it’s full potential plus it’s only been few years since he reincarnated so he probably haven’t accumulated that much internal energy so I would say past
