Whenever they have meetings with their ministers, my heart breaks a little🥲. It’s not the info dumps that get me. In fact, I quite genuinely like those. Especially, when he goes Sesame Street like today; A to the Z was completely encompassed so any confusion is impossible and it’s like, “Yeah-ya, get to work boys! Everything’s laid out like a kid’s treasure map; just gotta follow the arrows and you’re all heroes to your ppl for gens to come! Woot-woot!!”
Nah, my problem is AFTER he explains all of it. It’s the damn nonsensical back and forth from the ministers that gets me goat every time. It’s like, “Maaaan, are these boys some dumbfks😤!” They make all the prince’s efficiency worthless!! We get stuck reading their bs to the end of the chapter; and, every now n then, to the end of the next🤯! When the readers get what’s being said: MOVE TF ON! Sadly, my extensive manhwa wisdom is telling me, the author is using these extensions as his “required” filler content (thx a lot, capitalistic Korean editors🖕😑🖕). That’s gotta be it bcuz If you take that nonsense out, this entire project is filler free! So, yeah, I truly dig the knowledge refreshers but, as far as entertainment value goes, nah, by the time they move on, my gauge is damn near zero. That’s a pretty shitty payoff, if you ask me🥲.
I quite like it.. It is also a battle of filling in for people stubborn and stuck in a view that does not fit the king and crown prince. remember this is happening in a time where most, if not all, of what they are doing is sooo far revolutionary that it is near heresy if you tried to do it most other places at that time. This is the 1400s-1500s. I love the politics and the thoughts the ministers lay out. and even though it is slow, they are slowly learning and how to handle and understand the prince and king’s view.
