Ok I am against discrimination and maybe I don’t have enough information about the situation, but it seems reasonable that if you work in a place, serving people with a heavy majority being Korean, you should be able to speak that language well…the illustrator did draw the boss in quite like a villain so he looks unlikable, but it doesn’t seem unreasonable to fire someone who can’t speak the language that is required for the job…especially if he works as wait staff. If he is a cook or a dishwasher its not as important but would still be difficult with a language barrier…
While I also think along the same line as you, i think a big issue is that the boss tried to use a BS excuse to replace him. If he would simply state the language barrier and give time to the part rimer to find something else, there wouldn’t be an issue imo. Don’t forget as an exchange student, he wouldn’t even be able to legaly take action for an unfair work treatment
You get him! He’s working hard and targeted because of language! Rude boss man!!
