Bit of both really. Given Tokiwa’s lab has limited resources, production rate is going to be low unless they outsource most of it (which they won’t; this is groundbreaking research that hasn’t even been patented yet)
So given a limited supply and large backlog, plus the fact no given individual is likely to change much in under a week, buying to offer Stat measurement as a service is the most likely model.
The raw data also isn’t much use until it is converted to actual stats – so data-to-stats as a subscription service is going to be where the profits lie – make money not on razors but on blades.
