Alright this is getting a bit tiresome. Introduce new clan/family that are just powerful schemers who hide behind fake honor that no one calls them out on. And the person he meets that brings him in or that he saves always seem to be a pawn in their family affairs. Another thing that would be nice is more female characters like Lin’s Mom (from early on in the story) and Meng Qing. I liked that they were strong/ not push overs.
With all that this is still one of my favorite stories to read right now.
