Magic, once monopolized by the nobility, has been opened to the general public, leading to a sharp rise in magical crimes. In response, the Empire establishes the Magic Crime Investigation Bureau.
Detective Rogue, due to a conspiracy orchestrated by his superior Belladonna, is transferred to the infamous “Sixth Division.” This division investigates magical incidents alongside witches who once brought calamity upon the Empire. These witches, powerful enough to cause disasters, are imprisoned and fitted with “collars” that restrict their magic.
However, the witches—led by Miseria, known as the “Demon Puppeteer”—pay no mind to these restrictions and continue to throw Rogue into chaos at every turn.
