Pretty short chapter not sure how long they will milk this fight but its already an obvious win for light he has a genesis class weapon

It’s not as simple as you think as you out consider that infamous Gungnir is MOSTLY reserved as a last resort. Remember how much it hurt his hand during his battle against Sasha’s angels and Soul Dragon from the previous arc? Who knows Light will going to lose his arm the next time he is using it

Eventually, Light use the infamous Gugnir-straight to LVL2 to destroy Daigo’s self-destruction attempt onto both Tower Town AND it’s vicinity into kingdom come, slaying the LVL7000X-Punk for real. Consequently, Light’s left arm is severely damage as the result of such usage and both Eri and Nazuna with super heal before the two re-sealing the infamous weapon.

Before the X-Punk is slain in both WN and LN, however, he taunted Light’s Gugnir Arm as “too small” to stop his self-destruct attempt and expect his final move will going to get EXP for real, only to be stunned that the weapon he once mocked is able to suck up all of the self-bombing energy from him. In the WN version, the dingus trying to rob the Gugnir instead only to see himself vaporized along with his signature weapon due to the Genesis-Class.
