As “powerful” as it is, you still need to understand that Daigo is STILL an arrogant sore loser who still thinking about leveling up for the EXP, even in this dire situation. As for Light and his own methods to deal with such situation, this is where he had to use his own last resort that he himself trying to avoid: The infamous God-Slaying Gugnir. So, here how it goes,
About Light countering the Elemental Blades
In this sink or swim situation, Light resorts to use his infamous Gugnir (in LVL 2 form, BTW) to actually get him to learn Game Over for real. Due to the size of this time-bomb, Daigo continues to ridicule Light just because of the size of his Gungnir that is much smaller. It is BECAUSE the Gugnir is an EX Class, Light is able to stop the time-bomb sphere due to the EX weapon that absorbing all that explosive sphere that time-bomb sphere is generating. Only in the WN version, Daigo tried to rob the Gugnir from Light in to defeat Hei but ends up seeing him getting erased alongside with his Elemental Blades too, resulting his lamentation about disappearing without defeat Hei
Origina WN can be found in Shosetu where the series is faster than the LN version. Albeit the raw version as the translated version is actually murky
The LN version, unfortunately, is e-book exclusive but can be found in J-Novels Club

This new chapter is the FIFTH part Tag vs. 1 handicap duel of Light and Nazuna vs. Daigo and this is the X-Punk at his MOST desperate but STILL being an arrogant prick in the his sore loser attitude. Why? Simple. This dude. just. HATE losing! To summarize, X-Punk frantically summons all of his buffed Elementals he has now to kill both Light and Nazuna but because Nazuna summons her own clones to deal with these pesky fairies, :ight meanwhile do a three hits-combo rush attack -one that is as impactful as his previous barrage attacks he onto the Soul Dragon. Light isn’t done with it but he is far from done as he now plan to neutralize the now downed Master THREE mega-level spell cards. Miraculously, wrath and pride are just one of MANY reason why Daigo barely retaliates with his Crimson Force Field (probably another effect of his Weapon Fusion) and while the Gift itself made the Elemental Blades gone out of control, he don’t care about it nor Miki and even the mission about “C” as he is using make his force-field as living ticking time bomb so he can blow Tower Town and everything else to kingdom come?! .Then the chapter ends with Daigo threatening Light about getting EXP (wouldn’t he quit already?!) as the huge stinger…
Actually, gotta keep the credit for Daigo for at least surviving his encounter of LVL9999 for at least (in-universe) 20 seconds. A record breaking I may add. Then again, it is always about the toxic ego just made the X-Face rarely be taken seriously, even thought Light pointed out (or should I say, guessed) his own Gift’s own weakness. Seriously, is there any wonder why Hei is able to kick that fool’s buttocks? If it wasn’t for his bloated ego that made him do something beyond his control….a certain Genesis-Class weapon will be in his face and make him learn a thing called “Game Over”.
Also, for IMPATIENT PEOPLE ONLY in regards of something after words (presumably goes Chapter 171 or 172) , at least according to the WN and LN
The rest part of the
Due to this chapter, Light resorts to use the infamous Gugnir (in 25%, BTW) to finally slay that fool for good, making him somewhat a legend-killer who is now having 13-0 win streak. Even with the infamous Gugnir looked so small than his time-bomb barrier, Daigo ridicules the Gugnir over it’s small size until it absorbs ALL the explosion ball and break the with ease. Only in the WN version, Daigo tried to rob the Gugnir from Light in to defeat Hei but ends up seeing him getting erased alongside with his Elemental Blades too, resulting his lamentation about disappearing without defeat Hei
Then, comes an interrogation with Miki where we actually see her perverted thoughts for Suzu up-to-eleven despite being restrained by a LOT of special cards and Eli’s handcuffed with VERY special cards but, along the way, Light soon learn about the Masters’ original and Team Hiro’s PA which is later to be known as Project Ark. Unfortunately, team Abyss’s headache
Due to the Masters’ invasion and such, Tower Town is undergoing some major security upgrade so that nobody will ever intruding the town ever again. While Ellie is now holding a grudge against Miki because of that, she also has to be wary towards that Lilith of all people had something to do with the Master’s intrusion. An assumption, BTW.
The three remaining Master will discuss their next plan due to the disappearance of both Miki and Daigo and because they didn’t get the intel about the Giant Tower, all three choose to deal with Giant Tower after the Summit (one where Lilith will become the Queen of Mankind via 5 out of 8 votes from 8 non-Human leaders-something made Volos livid alongside the Centaurian High-Chief that is Center’s/Santor’s granddad. ) and it foreshadows the Demon Kingdom’s downfall. The teaser about the Master will be this: Goh has a LARGER ego than Daigo for being experts in martial arts and his crashout over being beaten by Nazuna. Gira is basically an evil version of Chaos who is the guild master of his Demon-only Assassin Guild and but having his own LVL5000 something Golem to do his dirty work. As for Doc? Well, his vile experiments makes the dark elven counterpart (especially Shion) look like a novice by comparison and guess who is his latest victim for his experiment? Light’s long lost brother! No thanks to Diablo whose paranoia over reuniting with Light will lead to the Demon Kingdom’s downfall.
Only the LN’s own EX Chapter (Oni Island Arc), Team Hiro also worried that what had happened to both Miki and Daigo will get them into danger too, especially the Beemancer but Kaizer tell them not to worry because she is too crazy to tell. Speaking of Hei, it seems what he did at the Oni Island’s sea has indirectly inspired Oboro into his twisted quest of seeking absolute strength which became a reason for his betrayal against Light back from the Unlimited Gacha Arc.
Excellent question about the centaurs, man. Since the Light Novel’s (Original Japanese version) own current arc just talked about them not too long ago, I have some limited information about them so to take a grain of salt on that. Considering Center/Santor is on Light’s revenge list alongside with his fellow traitors, expect the big guy’s downfall will be far worse that he probably gonna WISH he will not sing and dance like Uma Musume as his eternal torture in the Abyss.
(Dunno why the comment sections keep changing despite it was fine like 2 days ago)
So, here are some small details in regards of the Centaurs in the LN’s thrid (and possibly last) of the original arcs and….the run down here is this,
-Regretfully speaking, despite what had happened to the Beastmen Army and the Demon Kingdom, some centaurs (particularly under Center’s/Santor’s faction) are actually want to wage war against Eri the Tower Witch. Fortunately, some centaurs like Finea and Baru and few other going to make peace with Eri instead.
-For this reason, when a trap from Allo (aka a cousin who is a spy) , Fiena had to escape alone via Baru’s sacrifice to aid her friend’s escape. That lands her at Erza’s village, of all places, and she lives there as refuge for a while , . This means one thing: Erzo has a girlfriend
