If anything, I think that it is for the best because LVL2 Gugnir is supposedly to make the battle all the faster. Afterall, Daigo’s own arrogance is his own undoing
Spoiler
If anything, I think we should be more focus on the future arcs after this one because this arc is actually the first of the THREE prologue arc for the Demon Kingdom Arc, aka the revenge plan for Diablo
The manga follows the LN version of the series in the most abridged way, meaning that some of the scene from LN (and possibly the WN) are actually omitted.

This new chapter is the SEVENTH AND FINAL part of Tag vs. 1 handicap duel of Light and Nazuna vs. Daigo and it’s Game Over for the LVL7000 X-Faced Punk for his final and fatal mistake: Belittling the infamous Gugnir while STILL bragging about his weapon just because of it’s class and then denotating a self-explosion, all so that he can kill his opponent for EXP and gets his rematch against Hei. Well, sad for him because not only LVL2 Gugnir instantly stops the Elemental Explosion, but also erases Daigo from existence before he can speaks his final sentence, thus ending his TAS walkthrough of terror for good. Actually, for his arrogance Daigo was impressive for lasting a battle against LVL9999 for 25 seconds but alas, his own overconfidence about his weapons has made him unable to see a bigger picture and that was his reason for his own demise and downfall. Light himself notes that the Elemental Twin Blades weren’t even the most unique of all of Mythological/Mystical Class Weapons and the “strongest” title part was just Daigo’s exaggerated self-proclamation . Either way, the aftermath of such battle has left a huge crater at the forest’s edge (it can become a hot spring) and the chapter ends with the Undertaker King’s win streak grows to 13-0 which also makes him a Legend Killer too, considering the Masters are either revered or feared by the folks on the surface world.
Surprisingly, this one stays faithful to the LN but I really wish that one WN scene is added about Daigo’s late realization about his limitation when he failed to rob that from Light because Gugnir is erasing him along with his signature weapon. Then again, with his LVL7000 I really doubt that he can make use of this Genesis-Class weapon with efficiency anyhow. We’re talking about one fool who still stuck in LVL7000 despite killing so many Sea Monsters for how long at the expense of how many Human Slaves who were sacrificed for his selfish quest. Speaking of that, with the demise and downfall and death about that fool, Light has indirectly avenged all the unfortunate souls who were slaughtered by Daigo for his twisted quest of leveling up-without the patience like the MC nor for a noble cause like Lilith. Though Daigo’s victims were unfortunately just one of the whole LONG list of atrocities under the hands of the Masters and the Demon Kingdom
For everybody’s own convenience, I think this chapter is actually just fine because it is lore accurate for the Gugnir. Besides, nobody want ot even hear more whining from Daigo now for he is way beyond delusional
If I am you, I think we should focus more on the Aftermath Chapters because they are the REAL epilogue of the current arc, Masters of the Demon Kingdom Arc because they are MORE important than the battles. I think the Oni Island Arc is pretty much on the way now.

Too bad Daigo didn’t even get the chance to experience despair.

daigo demanded for exp but instead turned into one
If you ask me, Daigo just got his Game Over ending as the result of LVL2 Gugnir. Even from the last chapter, the fool is so arrogant that he dismisses the Gugnir’s LVL1-one that eventually slain both Sasha’s angels and the Soul Dragon.
After the battle, Light’s arm had become so corrupted that even using a bunch of SSSR High Exorcism cards wouldn’t be enough. It would probably take years to fully heal. So, Light asked Nazuna to use her Prometheus to cut off the arm, and then had Ellie use her ultimate-class magic to regrow it.
Gungnir’s Status
After the battle, Light appraised Gungnir again and discovered that more of its stats had been revealed. The original appraisal read: “A spear ___ a ___ god”. But after removing the second seal and defeating Daigo with it, the weapon’s description changed to: “A spear __ a burial __ a god”.
Miki’s Fate
Miki was taken prisoner because the Oath Bee she implanted prevents her from being mind-probed. This means that if Ellie tried to read her mind, the Oath Bee would kill her. Miki is willing to give information to Light for a price.
Spoiler
Information Obtained from Miki:
Masters are basically souls the C has brought to this world at the end of their past lives. So you can think of Masters as someone who reincarnated into Light’s world.
Masters are divided into two factions: one worship C, the other sees him as the enemy. Hisomi and the other Masters in the Dragonute Nation are hostile to C. Miki’s faction in the Demonkin Nation worship C. Both factions are always fighting because of different views.
The dragonute Masters see C as the enemy, but they know they can’t beat C, so they’re working on an escape plan to get away from him.
The plan is P.A. Miki doesn’t know the exact details or what the actual name is.
There are 5 Masters each on the dragonute and demonkin side, making ten in total. Until Daigo was killed so 9 now.
Ahh
Too short 😭

Does the manga follow the LN or the WN?
Man, the manga follows the LN version (though in rare moments that the manga actually borrow some elements from the WN to make the story interesting)
