This new chapter here is more about Masters in this one Aftermath Chapter. The first part is mostly about Miki’s info dump about these elusive figures (herself included), from her former team’s fierce rivalry with Team Hiro to their own relations with “C” her former rivals’ P.A. thing which even she knows little about. Suffice to say that all these info only bring more question than answers for Light because, according to Miki, “C” is so powerful that it force to Team Hiro to hatch a plan for their escape. This interrogation ends for now because….Miki’s explicit imagination about Suzu is getting way too NSFW and she get jailed at the Abyss’s deepest and (hopefully) most secured prison. Just make sure she is isolated from the 4 traitors, please? Then, the second part shift to the remaining rolls the remaining three Masters and their emergency meeting over what had happened to both Miki and Daigo. No thanks to Daigo’s recklessness, mission failed and Goh announces that they will go for Plan B after the Summit (Volos must be doing some prep right about). You can tell that neither Gira nor Doc see eye to eye through their aura and Goh REALLY hate no disrespect on his watch, though they do follows Goh’s instructions in the end and Captain Rasta’s ends the chapter by declaring his war onto the Giant Tower, marks the beginning of Team Abyss’s feud with the Masters…
Wanna hear a meme joke? Goh stomping on the ground that stop both Gira and Doc arguing sure reminds me about myself for telling some people to shut up about their senseless whining-especially the chapter’s pace.
Joke meme aside, though, as troublesome as Miki is due to her lewd behavior, the VERY reason Light does what he is doing is because she at the very least be truthful since her defection to Team Abyss, Unlike his former party who trembled his trust for his former friends with their betrayal and deception back at the Abyss.
I would keep tabs onto Volos and especially Diablo because whatever the evil plot they are plotting on may be served as catalyst to the Demon Kingdom’s inevitable downfall. Be sure to keep an eye onto Goh and especially Doc as well because the latter’s own hypocritical project will actually solidifies Light’s decision for the Demon Kingdom.
Remember what I said about Daigo’s battle with LVL9999 lasted only 25 seconds (in universe)? Well, when we eventually reach the Demon Kingdom Arc these Master better wish that their fight against Light and Team Abyss will last 25 seconds because the newcomers are making sure that time is not on their side, especially on Goh’s one as he’d better prepare for his battle
The final fate of the Three Master of the Demon Kingdom during Demon Kingdom Arc (both WN and LN)
Gira is the shadow guildmaster from the Demon exclusive Assassination Guld and his hobby is as twisted as Nano’s and Garuu’s. He will going to face Eri/Ellie herself and let’s say his twisted wish on dissecting the Tower Witch is not fulfilled as he endure her 10,000 spell cards for hours until he succumb to fatigue, giving her an astonishing 4-0 win streak . This is Eri/Ellie’s way of making sure that Daigo’s battle is not repeating itself. Fun fact, his Golem version is the one ends up facing against Light and Nemumu and Gold and he trying to explode himself but his self-sacrifice is all for naught as Light use Gravity Hold to suck all the explosion, extending Light’s win streak of 19-0 (11-0 in WN version). The LN version further add
Doc’s own “Mankind’s Future” project is as hypocritical as Shion’s own soul project because what he is doing is basically turning his victims, dead or alive, into a living Golem. It is a term of making as bioweapons . For his own atrocities and what he did to Else, Light clobbering this master so bad that his arm are broken and got beaten so badly that he almost died. The LN version had Light releasing the “Za Warudo Ofu Torucha” that force Doc to suffer her torment in there for 99999 seconds. That’s equivalent to 28 hours in there. Light’s 20-0 (12-0 in WN ver.) win streak is the most heartbreaking one because Els chooses to die a a human instead of living
Goh is the MOST difficult opponent to be handled by those who are below LVL9000. Heck, his own power level of LVL9000 is enough to make Light so furious that he launch one mission to have them ALL Master captured, most as a suspect of his former home village’s destruction. Let’s say he has the same ego as Daigo for bragging about his “genius” until Nazuna shows up and having at least 45 minutes long and 7 bouts, with Nazuna wins each one. Miraculously, he is the first of the ONLY one from his team who narrowly escape from Nazuna and tell the tale to Team Hiro and seek refuge over there since.
On a side note, I could’ve swear that the Masters for the Demon Kingdom faction are the inspiration for the LN characters like Shion, Oboro, Santor/Center and more here.
Sorry for making another comment after the first one but to this chapter is more important than anybody can participate: From Miki’s info dump about the Masters feel like one heavy lore drop all the way to the POV 3 Masters from the Demon Kingdom (Team Goh), gives people one impression that the two factions still the source of all evils on the Surface World and this willwill going to
I think most readers should know about this but for those don’t, here goes the whole list ,
Ever since the infamous Fake Master Incident back in Unlimited Gacha Arc (Prologue part, or Chapter 0 for both WN and LN), Light vowed to find the truth about the Masters and it became his one important objectives along with revenge plot against two fools who were responsible for his two tragedies: his former party for their heinous acts of betrayal and one murderer who exterminated his home village and the residents and his parents (his siblings were the only survivors but only Yume was recovered via Lilith whereas Els….was still MIA). Why bring this up NOW? Well, for 8 and a a half long arcs (LN’s 6 Books and Manga’s 170 Chapters), Light and Team Abyss barely have any leads about the Masters despite getting small clues from a) meeting people directly including the villains or b) reports from either Aoyuki’s animal spies or mohawk gang about their findings. With Miki being a special prisoner, however, it looks like Light and Team Abyss to at least know who are the Masters and their mirky goals and ambitions. Only challenge here is Miki isn’t a type to her info for free and having Suzu around to get her talk but still, as in the previous chapter, even she knows that the only Light and others make the rules in the Abyss. Again, make ABSOLUTELY sure that her own prison is far away from the imprisoned traitors’ own, and where she is going she can only go to where Light’s card is permitting.
Ya know, say what you will about Miki for her pervert antics quirks but her sincerity is Light‘s only reason to live up the bargain and not trampling her trust. Unlike the 8 traitors whose own evil acts that trampled his trust so deeply that he loathes liars with an extreme passion of anger.
In the same incident 3 years ago, the 8 traitors revealed their real mission to him but with a disturbingly insincere tune. It gave us how they REALLY felt for their former LVL15 Human companion despite being together for 2 years before the fateful day and, by retaining their vile attitude towards him again during his separated “reunition” with each one of them (first half of the roster)in different arcs, they have technically unknowingly confessed to Light that they were never friends from the beginning. Unfortunately for them. Light has already anticipated such and instantly humbled them with his power of LVL9999 in less than 10 seconds . and it turned out that these traitors weren’t the wiser about the Masters either because they only participated their “mission” in order to fulfill their own twisted dream, with their own backstory and their semi-luxurious life after their mission give any implications. Regardless, of all the excuse they are making, ANYTHING related to the “Gathering of Races” ended up justified all of Light’s wrath for what they did and they got sentenced to a fate worse than death, and no amount of pleading for mercy can change his mind. Oh, wait. I should add that it is BECAUSE the traitors were his former friends that Light made their punishment even more special and robbed their privilege of even dying. Ya know, the former party may have banished him but only Light can make his decisions of severing ties from his former friends.
Garuu/Garou nervously revealed that even Beastmen elders like Gamm were kept in the dark about the Masters due to the race’s low power levels.
Sasha, meanwhile, pinned all her blame onto both Drago and Diablo....right after she got betrayed by Mikhael who divorced her right after his former team’s downfall.
Shion just talked gibberish about just her soul research and her audacity to attain Unlimited Gacha’s awaken power while disregards his revenge only ends up gravely annoyed Light.
Nano‘s “knowledge” about everything are limited to just his own ego and his “work” has prevented his from catching up the news, including Team Hiro’s manipulation by having Kavaa used him as pawn as his “investigation” onto the Giant Tower
For the remaining 4 traitors? While the stories have yet reach them, if the first 4 already acted this way then expect the remaining four will follow suit with the same jerkish ego, same selfishness and the same cowardice , especially for both Draggo and Diablo’s part because of the Masters’ own actions towards the Giant Tower….
Teaser about Oboro
With the current is almost ending soon, the next arc will focus on Oboro and the main takeaway about him is he is as delusional and psychotic like Shion and Nano and Daigo for fulfilling his own selfish dream-“Absolute Strength”.Mainly because Hei did something at Oni Island that indirectly gave him a twisted inspiration of getting stronger.
Let’s say he wishes that he shouldn’t request the Black Clown Mask to protect Yotsuha the Oni Miko because he himself is about to betray her and have her to be sacrificed for the Oni monster god anyways; moreover, his own evil gloatabout his “strength” through his magic mirror-one that copies his enemies power levels and even appearances only make Light boring instead as he instantly humbles the 5th traitor eventually gets humbled by Light because not even his own magic mirror can copy LVL9999 entirely and Light himself uses his own copy cards that borrows abilities from Mei, AoyukiEri/Ellie and finally Nazuna to beat his former friend for good. Another thing?
Out all the 8 traitors, he is the only one who doesn’t plea mercy but not because he is “honorable” enough to accept his fate. No, far from dishonorable because a) he is too stubborn to even realize his own weakness like Daigo, b) he got KO’ed instantly Light and his clone’s copy Prometheus and c) Light himself doesn’t want to hear any of his excuses and denied the Oni’s seppuku. All these paves the Undertaker King’s win streak of 16-0 and Eri’s/Ellie’s mind probing enabling him to learn about Hei
Teaser fate for both Center and Draggo
The (Japanese) LN version just began Center and the takeaway about the third LN exclusive arc, aka Runaway Centaur Arc, is he belonged to one faction who suicidally waging war against Ellie the Tower Witch, and his own evil is all rooted from the whole family tree. Yes, his own father and especially grandfather are evil as he is, same goes for his cousin Alo who is actually a spy for him to investigate the opposition: half-sister Finea and her friend Baru, the very few sane centaurs who want peace with . As the result, a fierce rivalry is ensued in Vol.12 where Finea eventually seek shelter to the Giant Tower along with Erzo for Eri’s/Ellie’s help. Expect Operation Glue-Factory on Light’s plan to crush Center/Santor’s faction, though one would wonder if the Evil God’s shard will made an appearance again since LN’s both Vol.8 and Vol.9
Being the LAST of the eight (if the WN say anything, then the LN soon follows) , Drago and his team’s worst mistake is them trying to assassinate Eri/Ellie just to get into the spaceship again. Not helping is that Light’s battle with Draggo will be similar with Daigo but the battle will not be ended in 25 seconds. No, Light destroyed his weapons and took advantage onto the former leader of the former party
Now, about the remaining 3 Masters. If there is anything more simplified to describe them is that it’s only through , like I said from the last post, they gonna wish that their future battle with the Giant Tower will last less than 25 seconds because Light and Team Abyss are making VERY certain that time will not be siding them. The note onto both Gira and Doc who , particularly this researchers sure that time isn’t on their side. If I must make a teaser about this ,
Gira will gonna wish that his own endeavor doesn’t get ruin future AND last client who has a beef with dark
Doc better learn to keep his/her mouth shut about his “Humanity’s Future” project if he/she want to keep his/her arms from a beatdown. Why you ask? Again, it will be his latest creation from a certain somebody that will enforces Light’s final decision on how to deal with Demon Kingdom
Goh, for his own kindness of recognizing Daigo’s own signature weapon, he’d better not share the X-Face’s same ego when he faced the same enemy who humbled him more ways than one. He’d better wish that his battle with said opponent should be 7 minutes at most.
If I am the readers, I think they should all invest on Volos and especially Diablo for their actions can AND will forever change the balance of the world
Volos, Diablo and the Three Masters
With Volos as the main host for the upcoming Summit, as Goh said in this chapter, best to expect that what WILL going to happen in the Summit will going to affecting his future decisions that ironically dooming his own kind and his country. The result of the Summit? Lilith will be inevitably elected as mankind’s new ruler via 5-2 votes and Eri’s/Ellie‘s “uninvited” appearance as “special guest” will forcing him to cancel the whole Summit with haste. Per “advice” from one Dragonewt envoy and Center’s/Santor’s grandad. Oh, and he also need to watch his tongue because ..well, Mei will NOT taking his demon prince’s insult onto Light VERY lightly.
As Diablo the sixth traitor (4th in the WN), fate eventually forcing him to experience the same constant paranoia Sasha had over “Dark is Light” shtick and he will do anything to get rid of the “inferior” so his aristocratic lifestyle is secured. The one differences? Rather than confronting Light himself like Sasha, he had somebody else to do his dirty work but what he did the Els will enforcing Light’s decision that the Demon Kingdom doesn’t have a future. Also, he constantly whining about how fate keep turning against him despite his best efforts but he himself should know the answer by now, and let’s say his demotion back to commoner status is the least of his worries….
As the result on the actions from both Volos and especially Diablo, Goh’s plan in this chapter’s final panel will not going through because all three Masters given different orders instead but fate eventually arranging their meeting with Team Abyss in different faction and let’s say their future downfall will lead Demon Kingdom into a path of extinction…..
Moving on,
Team Hiro’s reaction to what happened to Miki and Daigo
Only in the LN’s version of EX Chapter where Team Hiro reacts to the news about what happened to both Miki and Daigo. Kaizer has nothing positive to say about these two as he deems them as prime examples about the “cult” he antagonized so vehemently. When Hiro and Hisomi were worried that she will ratting them out, Kaizer refutes that it would be impossible because of her own quirks and antics. Unfortunately for the team, Abyss Kingdom has a WHOLE source that make Miki cooperate Miki is basically telling everything (particularly Hei‘s own act at the Oni Island Arc)
Speaking of the Masters, anybody has any clues about what had happened to the one who created the Sub Master. Did either Hiro or Goh have him killed? Or he got betrayed by the elves just to get his powers?
