He along with those involved in feeding humans to that monster needs to die however they should be tortured first in revenge for the humans who suffered.
I think Oboro himself will learn the karma the hard way one way or another. Then, this is the 8 traitors we’re talking about here, so are we supposed to not expect the same karma that WILL befell onto him?
Oboro’s selfish ambition about
The reason why Oboro sacrificing the Human Slave is because he can use his Magic Mirror to actually copying the Oni Monster’s level, believing that gaining such monster level from him will gain his power, Well, Hei killed on a monster at his own village and this indirectly inspired Oboro to go for a quest for power in the wrong way.
Kazuya? Tekken one or…..Look, I think I know which character but, if you say this because of his monologue about “Absolute Strength/Power”? That will be a signs about his twisted dream and I have one gut feeling that he will ANYTHING in to attain it. Like the four traitors before him, specifically Shion and Nano for the same disregard of their victims in order to fulfill their twisted dreams.
If killing the children is bad enough, you should be ask about where are these kids are even came from given how isolated the Oni Island really is….and these poor munchkins are just the latest batch of sacrifice….
Once of these chapters, this move only adding Light’s more reason to feel that 25 seconds is too merciful for the like of his former friends

Had to rewrite the whole thing
This chapter marks the official opening to a new arc that now resuming the long awaited Light’s revenge quest onto this next traitor: Oboro. Before the mission, bits of info about Yotsuha the Miko Princess of the Oni Island, herself comes to light and let’s say she is her own kind’s most important figure who visits to the mainland for official business or school life, and she is very caring for her little sister. At least according to Mei’s abridged report about her. Nostalgia aside, any intel about the Oni Island itself is scarce due to how isolated it is, geography wise. Not to mention that everybody is getting even more busy in getting intel about the everything especially the Masters since the aftermath of the last arc . So, the plan here is just focus on getting an A-Rank by completing the escort mission, lay low until the right moment to pounce onto the Oni Samurai when and Light himself will going to deal with him his way, as usual. Speaking of exact whom, the scene now shifts to the Oni Island itself where Oboro bringing the Human Slaves to one lake on the mountain top, then proceed to hurt them and throw these poor kids into the lake where one lake monster devours them all alive, ending a chapter with the Oni Traitor’s smug on his face and his words about “absolute power”…..
If you want my opinions for about Oboro, expect a whole lots of selfishness from him because…well, you have seen similar patterns from the first half of the traitorous eight (Garuu, Sasha, Shion and Nano) through their own arcs. The clues about said selfishness? His actions of sacrificing the Human salves for the lake monster, along with his evil smug and his evil smug on his face and his monologue further solidifying his own toxic ego. For a one Samurai who rarely speak, his first words since the infamous Fake Master Incident is tellingly enough about his own ambition and he REALLY believing his own delusions, well he’d better survive LVL9999 in at least 25 seconds. Hold on, 25 seconds is too mercifulfor delusional idiots like him because he has the same mindset like Shion and Nano when it comes to fulfilling their twisted dream come true regardless how low he can go.
Enough about him, let’s talk about Yotsuha the Oni Princess now because, if Mei’s reports about her are anything to go by, this means that she must be one of the nine leaders who will participating the upcoming Summit at the Principality of Nine. Given that she is one op student at one magic academy at the Principality, surely she will become a good classmates for both Miya and Cuone, only if they can all enroll into the school again. All I know for certain is that she will going to play a bigger role in this arc as meeting Light will going to change her perception forever.
Also, Mei? I know that you trying to give Light some advice about dotting Yume but, give him a break already. Right now, Yume is the only surviving people Light knew from his former hometown and Els is still missing….

Reason why Black Clown Mask unable to reach Rank A, according to both WN and LN
According to the scene from both WN and LN that was not found in the manga version, Black Clown Mask has returned to the Dagan guild since Adventurer Killer Arc and let’s say the Pet Shop Army’s downfall changed everything: There were lesser Beastmen adventurer and the dwarven receptionist who once dismissive towards the group in their initial meeting suddenly changed her tune with a welcoming. Yet, for some reason, the receptionist was hesitant to give the group an A-Rank despite the 4 letters of recommendations-including the ones belonged to Dagan,
