I wonder if the slime is something like what happens when you’re experiencing too much stress, and your brain sort of ‘melts’, the place she saw, could it possibly be what the slimes see? Like their own paradise, an escape of reality because they can’t handle it anymore? It’s a little crazy to think they’ve had 4 years but couldn’t identify any logic while as far as we’ve seen, most that has turned into slime were top achieving people who were most likely burned out.
