Whelp, I haven’t a clue where this is going anymore. There’s also been way too much focus on the lil brother these past handful of chapters. It feels like the author is just coasting and the story has completely lost its direction. I’m off this bus for awhile. I’ll check in every 5 chaos or so. Hopefully, it finds a direction soon.
Well idk where you have been focusing on but I think the story is quite clear.(I’m not a novel reader). To summarise:
MC got adopted and is very talented so his ex-mom got jealous and tried to focus on him becoming a pianist. Now IMF(it’s a time when the world had a money crisis when all the stocks went down- look more in google) so even if MC is offered to go to America to study the influence of samjeon company will always be there and debt is always required to be repaid so he didn’t choose to go. Also IMF is just around the corner in just 2 years so he’s focusing on staying in Korea buying stocks so that he can earn a huge profit. Also as a side quest he’s training his brother for him to earn money through acting.
So I hope it’s pretty clear. I think you didn’t know IMF and it’s implications back then that’s why you didn’t understand the story direction
