Summary
Born a poor man in the slums, Zenos never had opportunities in life, so he decides to forge his own opportunities by teaching himself the curative arts after a chance encounter with a healer. When an adventuring party led by a man named Aston extends him an invitation, Zenos is elated—only to then be treated like dirt by his teammates. Despite Zenos’s diligent efforts to hone his skills to nothing short of perfection, the party deems him useless and kicks him out. Bereft of money and options, Zenos starts an illegal clinic and becomes a shadow healer. Word of his healing genius spreads quickly throughout the city’s underbelly, and as his reputation grows among the dregs of society, knowledge of Zenos’s esteem reaches the wrong ears…

The cover art looks super epic but the plot doesn’t match it sadly, its your typical “guy gets kicked out of the hero’s party for (insert stupid reason here) and mc shows off how amazing he is after he leave the party and makes everyone love him” type of story. I only read two chaps, but so fael, it’s bland and un-inspired.
I don’t even mind the events that have unfolded; rather, I just wish the author took the time to flesh out the characters and what they are doing instead of speeding through everything so quickly. It feels more like they wrote down all the things that the mc does but forgot to write the mc’s personality…
Either way, not a fan, unfortunately. If someone else does read this manga and they think it gets better in the later chaps then I’ll pick it up again, but until then, adieu.
I’ve read up to chapter 23.1, and yeah it gets better.
