According to Google, farmers usually get 15-16% of the end cost of their product. For fresh produce, “sometimes reaching 30% or more”, it seems like 30% is a pretty good average pay. Not to mention the extremely high cost of shipping in this case, which would significantly lower profits.

For being farming entities they sure don’t feel bad about mass producing and eating plants. Technically plants ARE also living beings, albeit less complex. Anyways even this goddess takes a form of a friggin Ginseng. She could’ve become someone’s medicine soup. And their forever archenemies are supposed to be wild animals like rabbits and hogs, if not grasshoppers and even chickens or so. Not to mention the diseases and how they need fertilisers. Farming ain’t peaceful and is inevitably messy and stinky, so Idk why they’re so timid and cowardly either. Each of them should be at least as strong as human farmers on Earth, and none of those people are cowards either.
