Manhua writing… yeesh😮💨. IDEK what to say… 35 chapters in and we’re still going in circles around what basically feels like a shadow of a plot. Most manhua generally have all the right ingredients to make a good story, but because it’s an industry that focuses on chapter count ($) rather than artistry, we get chapter after chapter of fluff, filler and spin rather than an actual solid story with believable plots and characters. So far, reading this is like trying to READ a soap opera while watching a couple bicker without end. I’ve been hanging around just to see what comes after this 35+ chapters of wishy-washy bullshit. Glad the story is F-I-N-A-L-L-Y moving the fuk on. Let’s see where it picks up from here😅
This follows the very stereotypical plot of Chinese web novels where the son-in-law is secretly the richest person in the world and just goes around destroying everyone that wronged him. This is the entire plot.
When I started reading this, I thought it was an adaptation of one of those stories I read many years ago but no, the premis is just so generic and overused that they’re all pretty much the same.
For people wondering why there hasn’t been any new chapter released there is speculation that because the writer is trying to divert the manhua away from the direction the novel went it’s taking time to redo.
Trust me, you don’t want to read the novel. It’s packed with “strong themes” which I won’t mention but anyone who has read it would advise you not to read it. The author even apologized after the novel was heavily critized.
The good news is the manhua seems to have some things added in which weren’t in the novel but it paves the way for it to be diverted away from the direction of the novel which hopefully is what will happen. That is if the manhua hasn’t been dropped, since there isn’t any confirmation on whether it was dropped or just being rewritten or if the author is on vacation etc.
Honestly I don’t care you know cause I have read way worse stuff like Doku mushi , Metamorphosis and made in abyss and such so yeah this no matter that much , but thanks from what you have described it seems that novel is way worse in writing too I guess compare to this . Nonetheless do you know why is this not continuing further are there any updates ?
