It depends on whether that was a comma or period. If it was a period, I don’t know why they’d write the hours to the third decimal place, so 72 years makes more sense there. However, story wise, I think 26 days makes more sense (26 days of torture could drive you insane, but 72 years of it would completely break your mind, to the extent where you couldn’t even function).
