I don’t get the motive. Like cheating doesn’t make a person kill the other person.
In the backstory, the girl just wants to drive her pet to the vet. But she’s intoxicated and guy has night blindness so he can’t drive. I suspect they got into a car crash and the pet didn’t survive but that doesn’t seem enough motive to kill a person.
