Summary
Top actress Yu Fengzhi works herself to death and wakes up inside a novel—as the vicious supporting villainess who is fated to die miserably. To escape her doomed ending, she decides on a simple survival strategy: cling tightly to her frail husband, Pei Jue, the sickly heir who is treated as a disposable side character in the original story. As long as she protects this “cannon-fodder” young lord, she figures she can quietly coast through life. But the delicate, weak-looking Pei Jue turns out to be anything but harmless. When she acts the perfect black‑lotus villainess, he stands behind her, backing her up and handing her the knives. When she tries to keep her distance to stay alive, he only closes in step by step—until he knocks her flat and leaves her nowhere to run.
